Another top cyclist fitted by Dialed in Motion's Jeff Sparling
Mike Norton, Pro Cyclist with Team Nerac/Outdoor Lights had his position “dialed in” by U.S. Director of Operations, Jeff Sparling.
On Saturday 15th April, Mike, Dave, and Patrick started off the weekend with two top ten finishes in the early morning race in Prospect Park in New York City. The race was held in less than desirable conditions with temperatures in the 40’s and rain. Mike Norton got in the early break of five riders and Dave and Patrick controlled the field. Mike’s break stayed away for the entire race and on the last lap he attacked his breakaway companions and soloed in for an impressive first place. In the field a break of six riders got off the front and it included Dave Werling. Dave rode a very smart last two laps and was able to out think his breakaway winning the field sprint for a six place finish on the day.
After this race Mike Norton headed to the Target Training Time Trial in Connecticut. Even after putting in such a great effort in the morning he was able to piece together another great race finishing 2nd in his second race of the day.
On Sunday, Mike Norton was at it again in New York City. This time it was central park. The group stayed together for most of the race until a break of two riders got off the front with two laps to go. Mike was unable to bridge the gap to the break and had to take his chances in the field sprint. Mike finished an impressive 5th place on the day in his third race of the weekend.
